Overview

HealthDrop ("the App") is designed with your privacy as the top priority. Your health data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share it.

You may choose to share your exported data with AI services (such as Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), but this is entirely your decision and under your control.

Data Collection

Health Data

• With your explicit permission, the App reads the following categories of health data from Apple HealthKit:
  • User Profile: Age, Biological Sex, Blood Type
  • Activity: Steps, Active Energy Burned, Distance, Stand Time, Exercise Time
  • Heart: Heart Rate, Resting Heart Rate, Walking Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), VO2 Max
  • Mobility: Walking Speed
  • Body Measurements: Height, Weight, Waist Circumference, Body Fat Percentage, BMI
  • Nutrition: Dietary Energy Consumed
  • Sleep: Sleep Analysis
• This data is never transmitted to our servers
• This data is never sold or shared with third parties
• This data is never sent to any AI or LLM services by the App
• Health data is only used locally to generate export files that you control

Analytics Data

• We collect anonymous usage analytics (app opens, feature usage, crash reports)
• Analytics are not tied to your identity and contain no health data
• This helps us understand how the app is used and fix issues
• Analytics are processed by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics

Data We Never Collect

• Names, emails, or contact information (unless provided by you when contacting support)
• Location data
• Device identifiers linked to health data
• We never store health data in iCloud

Data Export

When you export your health data:

• The export file is created locally on your device
• You choose how to share it (AirDrop, Files, Messages, Gemini App, Claude App, ChatGPT App, etc.)
• Once shared, the data is governed by the privacy policies of the apps/services you share with
• We have no access to exported files

Third-Party Services

Apple HealthKit

• We access HealthKit data with your permission
• Apple's privacy policy governs how HealthKit stores your data

Firebase Analytics

• Anonymous usage data is sent to Firebase
• Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy

Data Retention

• We do not retain any of your health data
• Anonymous analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google's default policy

Your Rights

You can:

• Deny HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings
• Delete the App to remove all local data

Apple HealthKit Compliance

This app complies with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

• Health data is never used for advertising or data mining
• Health data is never stored in iCloud
• Health data is never shared with third parties
• Analytics never includes any health data

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
